Plexus Konferencija

Why attend Plexus?

Plexus is not your typical biomedical conference - it’s a one-of-a-kind event that focuses on connecting and inspiring young biomedical professionals with leaders in science and medicine. The conference offers a platform for attendees to exchange experiences, form collaborations, and learn from world-renowned speakers, including Nobel laureates.

What sets Plexus apart is the emphasis on inspiration. Most events feature fireside chats with leaders in science and medicine, who share their career paths, challenges, successes, failures, and advice with attendees. These sessions provide a unique insight into the lives of accomplished professionals and serve as a source of inspiration for young biomedical professionals looking to leave their mark in the field.

What’s more, we offer out attendees amazing opportunities to connect with these leaders through many of our networking events which can be life-changing for some. Set against the backdrop of the historic city of Split on the beautiful Croatian coast, Plexus is an unparalleled opportunity to gain new perspectives, build your network, and enhance your career prospects. Don’t miss out on Plexus 2023 this September!

Check out Plexus 2022 & our other conferences

Starting in 2017, a small team of Croatian medical students began organizing annual biomedical conferences that over the years attracted over 2000 guests from 27 countries and 34 nationalities from 4 continents, including 6 Nobel laureates. These conferences helped biomedical students enhance the most important practical knowledge they need for their future careers, facilitated collaborations and inspired them with world class speakers. We are so proud to have been recognized by numerous institutions, including the European Commission.

Building on this success, Plexus 2022 was an incredible experience for 250 young biomedical professionals from almost 30 countries, who had the opportunity to learn from leaders in science and medicine, including 3 Nobel laureates. The conference was held at some of the most stunning locations in the beautiful city of Split, including the Art Nouveau-styled concert hall “Hrvatski dom“, gorgeous gardens of Gallery Meštrović, and the 1700-year-old Roman palace. We can't wait for you to see what Plexus 2023 has in store!

Our keynote speakers in the past

2022 was a great year for Plexus. From inspirational world-renowned speakers to the Nobel Night, participants were able to listen to the inspiring paths of scientific giants. In our "Work & Life Abroad" sessions we covered what it’s like to live and work in a foreign county from young professionals who actually live and work there.

Our poster session gave participants an opportunity to present their work to others and connect with peers. Finally, our special networking events such as the Welcome to Plexus Night and Gala Dinner enabled our young biomedical professionals to connect to peers at stunning locations in Split.

Plexus 2023 will be an even better experience for every one of our participants through even more inspirational speakers, engaging networking events, historic venues, and an even more diverse community of participants.
